Economic & Tourism Development Strategy

Council has engaged consultants SED to develop an Economic & Tourism Development Strategy to help guide future business and regional investment and growth opportunities. Complete the online survey or attend one of the drop in sessions!

As part of strategy research, SED senior team members Fiona Davey and Clive Pinniger will be visiting the district next week to meet with businesses and community members.

The success of the project relies on input from business owners and operators! 

There are 2 opportunities to contribute and have your say on economic and tourism development ideas and issues for the district. 

  • Complete an online survey, and/or
  • Attend a drop in session and talk to the consultants personally

Online survey

The survey aims to gain a better understanding of economic and business conditions in the district and to hear business ideas for future development and investment opportunities.

Individual business information will not be identified in any reports or documents.  Surveys close on Monday 13th November.

Drop In Sessions

Sessions are being held at Padthaway, Keith and Bordertown on the 7th, 8th & 9th November
You can call in for a chat anytime between 6pm and 8.30pm and light refreshments will be provided.


Padthaway - Tuesday 7th November
Padthaway Sporting and Recreation Complex, Memorial Drive.


Keith - Wednesday 8th November
Ruth Wheal Room, Keith Institute, Heritage Street.


Bordertown - Thursday 9th November
Tatiara Civic Centre, Woolshed Street.
