5th July 2016 - Adoption of 2016-17 Budget & Annual Business Plan

At a Special Council Meeting held on the 5th July 2016, the 2016-17 Budget & Annual Business Plan was adopted. Key aspects include:

 

NRM Levy

Council has been advised that the land based NRM Levy in 2016/17 will increase considerably from $42.70 per assessment to 4 different fixed charges dependent upon the Land Use Code (LUC). Below is an indicative spread of NRM levies for the Tatiara.  The Tatiara will collect on behalf of the State Government $530,597 compared to $160,945 in 2015/16. 

  • Residential, Vacant & Other         $74.50
  • Commercial                            $134.50
  • Industrial                               $151.00
  • Primary Production                   $301.00

 

CWMS

Council has decided to increase the annual service charge, from $330 to $340 for occupied land and maintain $190 for vacant blocks.

  

WASTE SERVICES

In the 2016/17 financial year, Council will continue to provide a kerbside waste and recycling collection service to the towns in the Council area. 

Council will also implement a 3rd bin kerbside green waste bin at no further charge to the ratepayer.

The service charge remains at $280 per service
